Plant City is one of the best places to live in Florida.  It offers country living and small town charm, conveniently located between Tampa and Orlando.  It is best known as the “Winter Strawberry Capital of the World.”

But there is a lot more to Plant City than just strawberries.  Plant City Today was created to help all of us explore Plant City – the people, places, events, history, lifestyle, and more – to its fullest enjoyment.

Hi there!  My name is Roger Burrage, and I live right here in beautiful Plant City, Florida.

Originally from Massachusetts, I met the Tampa Bay area during a stint in the United States Air Force, when I was stationed at MacDill AFB in South Tampa.

After a great career in accounting – mainly with Mass Mutual and IBM – we decided to come back to Florida.  I have been blessed enough to be able to retire from the daily grind, but can still help you with finding (or selling) your Plant City home.

My wife, Donna and I will celebrate our 44th anniversary in February 2010.  Together we have two great sons (with two incredible daughters-in-law), and four wonderful grandchildren – all here in Florida!  Donna’s parents have lived in eastern Hillsborough County since 1979 – first in Thonotosassa, and now in Plant City for the past 20 years.
